Alameda Floating Home Association
Alameda, California

The Alameda Floating Home Association (AFHA) was formed in 1989 to serve as a voice and support network for the residents of the floating home community at Barnhill Marina on the Oakland estuary in Alameda, California. As stated in the Association's charter, membership is open to anyone who lives at Barnhill Marina or owns a floating home here. Ultimately, the Association strives to facilitate positive communication between residents and the marina owners, to serve as an advocate for its members, and to foster a mutually supportive community in this special and beautiful place on San Francisco Bay.   ( More aerial views from May, 2009: 1 2 3 4
